A very kind friend of mine bought EDIT#1013 (and a whole ass scanner!) and scanned Schoolboy (the exclusive oneshot from this book) for me, so here it is for all of you :) I also posted the raws to e-hentai if anyone is interested in those.
It's a SFW one this time and is also pretty short, but I'll have a NSFW one from cassino next week some time most likely. It's also part of this doujinshi and has scans but doesn't seem to have a translation online. If it ever had one, it seems to have disappeared completely from the internet :( Edit: I said previously we were going to rescan this book, but as it turns out the binding on the reprint makes it look worse than the existing scan. I'm carefully restoring the old scans instead now :(

Oooh!!!! Never seen this one around. Thank you for translating, and also thank you to your friend for scanning! I'm curious to see which other story you're translating from this doujin. Is there some other doujin in there that isn't NO?, NO:under, and down&down, or ENDLIGHT? I'm pretty sure all of those have been translated....though it would be nice to see a higher quality scan haha.
ReplyDeleteThe one I'm doing next is in fact NO:under, which like I said in the post has just? Either the English version disappeared from the internet, or never had a translation in the first place which seems a bit bizarre. I could have sworn I read one but at this point it's been so long I have no clue. I've scrolled through kawoshin blogs with doujinshi on them for hours and haven't seen anything about it (aside from a comment years ago saying it wasn't translated, but that post also said Endlight wasn't so it's a bit out of date) and it doesn't appear to be mirrored on any of the usual sites so I really have no idea! If it has been, I'll just do another one I guess, cause it doesn't seem to be findable anymore.
DeleteAs it turns out the scans from EDIT#1013 end up looking much worse than the old ones (issues with the book binding) so I'm working with a combination of the new scans and the old ones and redrawing where necessary. It looks much better than the ones online even if the scans aren't all new, I promise >< I've completely removed the warp from those old scans so it's super clean now
Ooh exciting!!! Wow, I love how much effort you put into this! It's like the remastered version of NGE haha, the remastered version of NO:under.
DeleteAlso, it was scanlated a while ago, but it was on tumblr and the scanlator asked that it not be reposted anywhere! So i guess it died with tumblr, sad. I download all my doujin so I might be the only one with access at this point lol.

That solves that mystery then! I was wondering why I couldn't find it reblogged if there was an Eng version at some point but tumblr's stupid porn filter probably ate it, which would be why I remember reading one ages ago but can't find it now 🙄 It's funny, those requests to not repost usually aren't honoured unless it's something that gets taken down eventually. Love that. I go out of my way to repost my stuff everywhere so the same thing doesn't happen to mine GDHGDG maybe you should share some of the older ones you have if they haven't been reposted anywhere (as long as it isn't against the OPs will ofc)?
DeleteAnd yeah, I consider it pretty important to restore flawed scans as well as I possibly can to do the original artist some respect in my releases. It's not the poster's fault they weren't great at scanning but I couldn't leave it in the state it was in (have you seen the first page? what the hell) :( I hope it's appreciated by someone but it's really more for my own satisfaction than anything I think. Thankyou for your support too :)
